Law of Attraction and Manifestation ๐Ÿ”ฎ

Hey everyone!

Are we ready to manifest more positive and happy things into our lives? This year may not have started with the best of beginnings, however we mustn’t lose hope and use this time to reflect and work on creating a list of goals and dreams we’d like to realise for this year and beyond.

Whether you believe in the Law of Attraction or not, you can’t deny that having a positive mind can really help to achieve your dreams. When you feel happy, optimistic and enthusiastic about life then you have this energy to make your dreams work. You find people, things and circumstances automatically aligning themselves to make this happen. The universe is granting you what you wished for.

You may feel like you’ve already tested it out and it doesn’t seem to quite work. You’ve read the books and watched the movies but nothing has materialised. Well there’s a way of making the Law of Attraction work for you and not against you!

So what is the secret?

It’s all about believing you can achieve those things. Belief and visualisation are a very powerful tool. When you’re determined to make things happen, they will happen. You need to cut out the negativity, chaos, noise around you and believe you can achieve the life you want for yourself. Many people fail because they fear what people will say or think. Just remember success is on the other side of fear.

When I started blogging, I did have this niggly feeling. Do I tell people that I’m blogging? What will they think? Will they laugh it off? But I persisted. I persisted because it was my passion. I enjoyed writing and photography, connecting with people from all around the world. If I had given up then, I wouldn’t be able to watch my life unfold like this.

Your life and your path is your own, never allow anyone else to make you feel as if you’re incapable of achieving your dreams. The are not YOU and that’s your strength. Trust the process and see the magic unfold. You are special and you will create the life you desire.

Whether you’re young or old, never give up on your dreams.

Having been a psychology student, I totally understand how powerful visualisation and positive thinking is for everyday life. Visualisation or having something written down physically on paper helps to keep your mind focused on your goals and dreams. Positive thinking helps to balance and align the energy with the universe to achieve whatever you have your heart set on. It’s no secret that when you are positive and grateful, you attract more things to be grateful for. So the happier and positive you are, the more you’ll achieve your dreams as you’re being grateful.. And you know what, the universe loves a grateful heart!

If you’ve been following me from the beginning then you’ll know that I am a big believer in positive thinking and the law of attraction. It’s no cult, religion or magic but rather works on a principle that a grateful heart is a magnet for all things miracles. If you show gratitude then you’ll be blessed with many more things to be grateful about.

Now it’s not to say that all your days are going to be filled with sunshine and rainbows, of course not. However, it’s how you deal with those negative situations that matter.

I made quite some changes to my life in the last year or two specifically. This time around I was completely focused on the kind of tribe I wanted to be around and not be apologetic about it. I wanted people who were full of life, positive, kind helpful, generous and above all who had good energy about them. When I was consumed and drained by a couple of people who were nothing but a negative source of energy for me, I decided that I needed to move away. I unfollowed, deleted away from their social media and in real life too. I have never felt happier and more positive. It’s such a liberating feeling!

When I’m working on my vision board (mood board, goals list, whatever you may call it), I make sure to have a clear list of things that I’d like to achieve. No goal is too big or small.. Just be as creative as you can.

For instance, I never put a year on it as I feel it restricts it to that year specifically. My vision board always has to be for the year and beyond. So, I’ll put up a nice quote instead. This changes with every board that I create. I take a number of cut-out and pictures from magazines/Pinterest that inspire me. I even draw my own sketch if I’m being extra creative.Basically, there are no rules so you just have to put your creative hat on and create the magic!

Working for Chanel –

As I was looking back at my vision board that I created 2 years ago, I was surprised by the things that came to life. For example, I absent mindedly printed out a chanel logo and stuck it to my board. To be honest, it was just to make my board look a little more pretty and no thought was put into it. It’s just something everyone does right? I didn’t specify whether I wanted a perfume, makeup item, a chanel classic bag or even their pumps for that matter.

But to my utter surprise, I got an email a year later from an agency (to whom I signed up years ago!) who wanted me to work as a Chanel beauty advisor. Who me?! Did they get the wrong person? I had to ask multiple times whether they actually meant to send the email to me.Lo and behold, I dressed up in the most Chanel-esque clothing (on a budget – if only I had the money for the real thing!) that I could put together, hair tied back in a bun and looking all sophisticated for the interview and went through all the rigurous stages of the interview (they’re very specific in what they want when hiring and it’s known to be very tough!) and guess what, I got the most awaited phone-call of the week.. ‘Sheema.. Welcome to Chanel. We’d love for you to work with us. You’re hired!’.

Wait, what just happened? I couldn’t believe it. I wanted to sound very professional so politely expressed my gratitude and thanked them for the offer and how excited I was to work with them too. As soon as I put the phone down, I literally screamed with joy. I was going to work with a brand that I loved and adored as a young adult. I’m not even a qualified makeup artist and I was going to do make-overs on clients. This was such a dream come true!

It still holds a very special place in my heart. If you’re interested to know more about working with Chanel, then I have a separate post to help you through their interview process. Please have a read and you can ask me any questions you have over there. But just know, even when I felt there’s no way I’m going to make it through, I always stayed optimistic throughout the process. They even mentioned in my critique how they loved the positive energy and the passion I brought to the table. It was one of the special moments in my life!

So this time around I have been very specific, as much as I love the brand, there’s no way I can pay ยฃ5-6,000 for a bag. I hear the prices have gone up since. Even if I had that much money, it’s something I couldn’t justify at all. I’m not into designer bags as such anyway, my style is very girly and feminine and I find most designer bags to be very loud and garish. Please note, it’s just my personal opinion. It just doesn’t match my aesthetic.

However, if I had to choose one, then I wouldn’t mind having a classic Chanel bag in my wardrobe. I love the Parisian vibe and feel that I could totally rock it on my travels. It’s classic, feminine and sophisticated. So, I’ve put it on my vision board in the hope that somehow it’ll manifest into my life.. Ha! Wishful thinking but hey anything is possible in the realms of the universe. You ask and it gives, don’t ask how.. Just trust the process!

Welcoming a bundle of joy –

Now this one is very special indeed. Hubby and I had been trying to welcome a little one into our family for quite some time. It’s quite spooky when I look back at my vision board. I drew a picture of a mum and dad (representing hubby and I) with a toddler. The toddler was a little girl I drew, as it was the easiest to draw with the ribbons and bows.. Haha.It just struck me that we now have a beautiful baby named Anaya and it’s a girl! What were the chances of that? So I’m very grateful and blessed for this little (actually huge!) miracle as its truly been very special.

Needless to say, this time around I’ve put another toddler on the board if I’m ever lucky to be blessed with another baby in the future. When I’m personally asking the universe, the ‘universe’ is God for me. I pray to God, put things on my vision board and watch them manifest. I see the vision board as a set of ‘prayers’ I’m asking God for, and ticking them off as they come to life.. Bliss!

Blogging collabs –

I have been blogging for almost 5 years, it started off as a hobby when I moved to Spain. Please know, I’m not a techy at all and to get this far is a miracle in itself. So, when brands started contacting me a couple of years ago for blogger collabs it did get me very excited indeed. I was most surprised (yet again!) when bigger companies like Lush and Crabtree & Evelyn contacted me themselves and asked if I would like to tell my readers about their new launches. I personally have been a fan and so readily accepted.I had been working for Crabtree & Evelyn as their brand ambassador for a couple of years, writing about their seasonal launches and exciting events.

Lush contacted me when their store was to open in Oxford (my hometown) and asked whether I would like to attend their blogger launch. Hell yeah I thought, as it’s been a brand who I’ve been purchasing from as a customer for years. And so my association with them started since and it’s been wonderful. I still don’t know how they found me. I’m not big on social media, don’t have a YouTube channel. I only have this blog and an Instagram page. I don’t have millions or even thousands of followers. So to be recognised and sought by these big companies, means a lot to me. I’m only a small time blogger but working with such reputable companies/brands that match my aesthetic and way of life only consolidates that I’m somewhat on the right path. Perhaps, the law of attraction is working in mysterious ways and I never will know. But I welcome it with open arms.

If you know my aesthetic then you’ll know that I don’t compromise on my work. It took a lot of hard work, sweat and blood (I know I sound dramatic but it’s the honest truth!) and there’s no way I’m going to let some dodgy collabs ruin it for me. If I didn’t care much, my blog would have been a walking advertisement page (trust me the endless amounts of emails I receive on a daily basis) but I select my collabs very carefully as it took me a long time to create a secure, safe and trustable (is that even a word?!) relationship with my followers.Yes, YOU lovely people reading this blog. I have been very blessed to have attended blogger events, had many successful collabs but all on my own terms. This is only possible when I have a tribe of happy and positive people that allows me to continue with what I love. When we’re all happy for each other we create this unique energy that allows everyone to benefit from it.

‘The universe doesn’t speak English, it speaks frequency’
