I’m back with another festive post which is all about glitter, sparkle and sequin. Ti’s the season to sparkle.. Hooray! 🌙
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I’m curating a festive winter style look-book which is coming out early-mid December. However, in the meantime I wanted to share a few picks that I found on Shein that I’ve ordered for the festive season. When they do arrive, I’ll be creating another look-book with these fabulous outfits. I am so excited to be sharing it with you.. (plus all these items on a massive discount, doesn’t get any better than that does it?! 😈 *cue – evil laughter)
Now, I’ve ordered with Shein before and I know a lot of people do have reservations, I’ve found it perfectly safe to use (I use PayPal always) and though there are always going to be hits and misses, you will still find pretty fabulous outfits at a fraction of a price. The only drawback is the shipping time which takes a very long time to reach to you. So order in advance if you need an outfit for a certain occasion coming up. I’d say all in all I’ve had a good experience with them so far but just know as it’s an online portal, not everything will be exactly as its shown in the pictures. The goods come from Asia (China specifically) so there’s always bound to be slight variations so just shop with an open mind when you do from such websites.
So having said that, shall we get into the blog post then? Eeks I am so excited to get this series started for you. I know you’re equally excited to see what outfits I am planning to style for you. So what are you waiting for, let’s get right into it shall we..? Whoop whoop!
Outfit no 1;
The first pick is this beautiful wrap ruffle cuff glitter mesh overlay dress. These are all the right words that a bohemian like myself likes to hear.It’s the most pretty colour with metallic threads running through the dress. Can we appreciate the beautiful blue colour? I mean it’s such a stunning shade of blue with those glitter threads, I’m totally in love with it.
I love that it is a beautiful flowy number which is just so important for an easy comfortable feel, still looking very chic and glam for the Christmas festivities. The sleeves are very flattering as I love a lovely ruffle cuff (I’m not sure if that’s even a word?!) sleeve.. It just makes it look really feminine and pretty.
I personally love wrap dresses as I find them to be really feminine and sexy and they tend to look really beautiful on every body shape. I can’t wait to style this one up for you. I have so many ideas already.
Outfit no 2;
This outfit instantly drew me in as I love glitter and sparkle as you all know by now. But most importantly I love how it’s sparkly yet not so blingy that it blinds you completely. It’s a sequin dress but very subtle that makes it look very chic. I love the cute detailing such as the fabric belt which really adds to the outfit. The frilly touch to the neckline is also very elegant.
Again, another dress that will look great on everyone. The blush pink colour will suit all skin tones too. Another perfect number that’s classy and fun yet very chic at the same time.
I’m also loving midi dresses. Are you guys the same too? I find the length to be very flattering, especially in the winter where you can pair them up with tights and boots. It looks really lovely and elegant.
I love that even though its a sparkly number, it can be worn from day to night. You can dress it up or down and either way it’ll look really pretty. I’m just crushing on this blush pink colour!! I own so many outfits in this shade that it’s really getting out of hand. Eeks!
Outfit no 3;
The third dress I’ve ordered is another beautiful glitter mesh overlay dress that is straight out of a fairy tale setting.Now, I put my hands up (guilty as charged!) as I love glitter, mesh and anything that reminds me of a Disney princess. This is a sort of adult version take on it if you like.
Again, another blush pink-ish colour that I love so much. I absolutely adore the neckline and sleeves. I don’t know what you would call them but it reminds me of an old era style dressing where they had a lot of fancy frills and cuffs and cute detailing to the dresses right?This is such a bohemian feminine number that I couldn’t resist it at all.
All the small sizes have all sold out already as its quite popular online. I was lucky to get my size. I would transition these dresses to the summer too as in Spain we have a lot of festivals and they’d work really well with the laid back bohemian gypsy-esque vibe here.. 🌙
Just look at the beautiful neckline? Isn’t it gorgeous.. I’m a celestial lover so the glittery silver stars really add to the whole look. I absolutely love this dress and can’t wait to share my look-book with you.
Outfit no 4;
This outfit is a little different from all the sparkly ones that I’ve chosen so far. I brought a Paisley embroidered top last year from shein (you’ll know if you follow me on Instagram) and a lot of you really liked it. So when they came up with a dress version, I naturally had to go for it. All these dresses are on sale so even better.I love the intricate folklore detailing on the dress, a true gypsy-esque vibe.
Again, another one that will take you straight from day to night. The colourful embroidery against the black colour really adds to the dress. You can add lots of chunky silver jewellery, a denim jacket and boots for a laid back day look or glam it up with some kitten heels and curls for a night out look. No matter how you choose to wear it, it’ll look equally stunning!
Top tip: I will add here please do shop responsibly with all the Black Friday/cyber sales that are currently going on. It’s so easy to get sucked into this dark world of online shopping via a click only. I searched far and wide and purchased items that I know I will be using for quite some time. It’s so easy to get enticed by these massive retailers offering huge discounts that we inevitably end up with a whole load of wardrobe that we end up regrettably buying. So save those pennies and shop responsibly ladies!
So, these are the outfits that I’ve ordered from Shein and would love to know what you thought of them.Have you shipped with Shein before? What do you think of the prices and quality? I’d love to read all about it below.. 🌙
P. s – I had to post this twice as my comment section had been disabled yet again. I found out via a lovely reader this morning that she wasn’t able to leave a comment on my post. I don’t know why WordPress keeps doing this. Are you experiencing the same? 😞
