The weather has been absolutely gorgeous, which comes as a lovely surprise as usually British weather is always so unpredictable.
As you brits will know, it’s a big deal to have sunny spells in February so this is just wonderful. So, it’s safe to say this is nothing short of a miracle. However, I hear it’s back to showers from Thursday (boo-hoo!) which is a bit of a bummer. But let’s not think about that just yet.
So, I decided to visit the beautiful Bicester Village in Oxfordshire this past week. It’s always such fun and I always look forward to the amazing decor they do across the outlet. And they didn’t disappoint in the least, they had beautiful lanterns scattered across creating a beautiful whimsical vibe.. the colourful bulbs inside just lit up the whole atmosphere!
If you wanted to know all the Bicester Village secrets, then do head over to my original post which explains everything in detail. (I don’t know why it won’t let me paste the link here) 😠
As you may or may not know, the village houses designer brands from across the world at discounted prices. This means that you can pick up pieces that are heavily discounted from previous season stocks..
Sshh some even have current stock that you can snap up if you’re lucky!
When I visited the village this time around, I saw a new shop pop up and it was none other than Victoria Beckham. Say what! 😲
It was lovely inside but I think they’re still trying to add more pieces to the line. It didn’t seem as full but I think more pieces are to follow. I did LOVE this bag (below) but it came with a hefty price tag of £550!
It had such a cute mirror inside and little pockets to keep your makeup and cards organised. It was super duper cute! I absolutely fell in love with it (but not the price tag *sigh*) but I’m still hopeful for my lotto win! Ha!
Its always so lovely to visit the village as you end up purchasing pieces that you wouldn’t have known. They have items from previous seasons which you may have missed in the stores and so is the perfect chance to snap them up (especially if you’ve been eyeing them up for a very long time!)
I’m not very brand conscious, but I like a few good quality pieces in my wardrobe that I can use for many moons. For instance, a good handbag is always important. I find that it lasts a lifetime (well if you take good care of it gal!) and that you don’t end up spending lots on a new one every few months. In my opinion, it’s always money well spent.
With that in mind, I decided to pop into Kate Spade ♠️ Oh my, everything was so gorgeous in there. I had no idea they did jewellery too!
Gold and circle discs – you got me Kate Spade! 🤩
Ahhh, I couldn’t stop admiring their jewellery corner. It was simply exquisite. They had the most stunning charm gold disc necklaces, arm-candy and lots of jewelled pieces. It literally felt like I was in jewellery heaven!
I was so tempted to buy the long gold disc necklace, but at this time I had already purchased a handbag. C’mon, a girl needs to save too!
I decided to opt for the classic black handbag that would be a perfect size to keep all my essentials in. I decided to go for the medium size. I’m also travelling back to Spain so this will be handy for all my travel needs. It came in the most beautiful presentation box. I just didn’t want to take it out of it. It would look gorgeous sitting on any display table in the room. If you haven’t seen it already, then please head to my Instagram – I cover it all on my stories!
I’ve covered all my Bicester Village shipping secrets in my previous BV post. So please do take a read if you haven’t, as it covers a lot of tips for your newbies.
P.s – I’ve worked for Armani and Burberry so have some knowledge on some tips and tricks to help you out for a smooth retail experience. You can ask me anything specific and I’ll be more than happy to help.
Make sure you have plenty of water (stay hydrated!) as there’s lots of walking involved. Even though the shops are all close to each other, but all that walking and rummaging around takes up a lot of effort. So keep those water bottles on hand.
There’s plenty of lovely cafe’s and restaurants that will satisfy all you foodies. Oh and for my Muslim followers, they have a new Lebanese (middle eastern) joint that’s Halal. So, it has everyone covered for the ultimate shopping trip.
(It’s very rare to see the tables empty but no one’s complaining!)
Can I go pass Temperley London and not go inside.. nope I didn’t think so either!
Gosh, they have the most beautiful dresses inside. It’s full on glitz, glam and sparkle – something a girl only dreams of. Who can walk past Temperley London with a mesmerising window display like this (pic below) and not be intoxicated by its splendour. I particularly love going into Temperley as I get to feast my eyes on all those sparkly dresses that are literally something you see on Hollywood’s divas!
Every season, Bicester Village changes its decor to suit the present season. It’s such a beautiful display of art and totally Instagrammable. You really won’t be disappointed.
How to get bigger discounts?
The most important thing is to keep an open mind. You won’t find the classic pieces here as they’re usually sold at the stores and not discounted. However, having said that they’ll be other alternatives (be it a different colour, a tweak in design) and so you’ll be able to get that designer fix.
The best time to go is when the stores have carried out their sales, they’ll then send all their stock to the outlet and so you can buy the piece/s that you had been eyeing up for ages and that too at a discount. Bliss!
If Bicester a Village is participating in cyber sales week (Black Friday sales or something similar) then head over. That is the time where you’ll save those extra pennies and they all add up. If you pop over to the Bicester Village Visitor centre and sign up, you get an extra 10% off which is always very handy.
I really hope you’ve enjoyed this little post.
