Beauty Emergency Kit Essentials – Β πŸš¨βœ‚οΈπŸ’„

Hey everyone!

Have you been in situations where you were in a dire need of a beauty emergency kit?

Pretty much all of us right?.. I’ve had my fair share of such situations and looking back, I wish I knew what I did now. Oh well,it’s never too late.. The most important thing is to prepare in advance and keep all your important essentials on hand, in case an OMG situation arises..

Perfect for the girl on the go.. πŸ‘œ

With the party season almost upon us, why not be smart and pack your purse with certain beauty must-haves that may potentially become life savers when grooving away on the dance floor!

Since most evening/going out handbags have tiny beauty compartments due to their size, therefore it’s even more important to be wise with what beauty products to take especially on a night out. I have been very careful (as much as I can) of this when planning for such situations, call me a wise owl! (Can we please get an owl emoticon already!)

Most evening purses I know are so small, it barely contains your mobile, keys and a few essentials and you’re full to the brim.. that’s why you need to be extra smart and opt for a more simple solution to your makeup emergencies.

This kit can also apply to holidays too. I always carry some sort of an emergency kit on the go, especially when on a holiday as trying to find the simplest things abroad can be so time consuming. Again, I’ve had my few share of mishaps here too.. Don’t you think? πŸ’

We’ve all been there and done that, so preparation is most definitely the key here. This kit has saved me many times before and I hope it gives you an idea of your own.. you can also tailor it to your needs..

So here a few of my essential must-haves..

Bobby Pins: I think every bag, purse, emergency kit should contain bobby pins. You’re always needing these. I have a million at home but can never find the one when I need it the most. You all know what I mean? From fringes to curled hair falling out , a bobby pin has it all covered!

P.s I always carry a cute little gold or silver hair slide, when it seems like the curls in my hair are gonna fall or my hair bun is gonna come undone, I simply sweep one side of my hair and pin it up. It looks effortless and glam at the same time. (Darn silky hair does come with its drawbacks!)

Hair Tie: this one is def a must have, it’s also such a versatile product. Not only can it be used to tie hair up, but you can also use it to keep long sleeves up and even shorten or lengthen necklaces by it.. what, how you ask? You know those awkward necklaces that don’t quite sit properly on your neckline, they’re neither long-long-ish or choker length, just sits oddly in between.. those types! I’ve used my hair tie to keep it at the right length and seriously it’s been ever so handy.. I don’t know how well I’m explaining this but honestly it works! (Trust me!)

Tweezers: You never know when these will come handy. From removing stray hairs to clumped lashes, you need this in your kit.

Safety pins: Always handy to carry them in different sizes. From broken zippers to positioning clothes and fixing holes, this one is a necessity!

Hand Cream: If you’re anything like me, a hand cream is a must. I love thoroughly nourishing hand creams like Palmer’s Cocoa Butter especially in the winter. My hands always need that extra nourishment and this one provides just that. Oh and the smell is heavenly!

A hand cream is also great for smoothing those unruly frizzy hair. Dab a bit on the palm of your hands and smooth your hair with it. It helps to keep it in place for the time.

Lipstick: Always keep an extra lippe in case you need to touch up your look. Furthermore choose a shade that’s likely to take you from day to night to be on the safe side.

Vaseline/ Lip balm: This one is the most important beauty item for me . A pot of Vaseline is essential.  It’s a wonder product that can be used as a moisturiser, eye cream, smoothing out eyelashes, dry heels to chapped lips. Do I need to say more. This one literally is on top of my list. I can’t live without it!

Nail file: Who doesn’t need one of these for those pesky nail problems. Although, I also have another awesome use for this. I read somewhere that it’s great alternative to a pencil sharper. Confused? Gently sharpen eyeliner and lip pencils to get a super fine point for the perfect application.  Genuius right?

Plasters: keeping a couple of these ensures you’re protected should any little accidents arise.

Fragrance: A good scent is always important, dab a scent on your pulse points to smell amazing all day. I always carry a small travel size with me wherever I go!

Optional items;

Fashion tape

Clear polish

Dental Floss

Dry Shapoo (e.g Batiste)

Hand sanitizer

Wet wipes

Mint/Chewing gum

Now you can always buy the pre-arranged beauty emergency kits at the department stores. I’ve seen so many cute and adorable ones.. Although they look totally adorable but the price tag can be a bit much! (Who has all that money to spare!).

Therefore, why not DIY one yourself, it doesn’t cost much, you have the freedom to choose your items and it’s great fun!

TOP TIP: Plus, you can have fun making it for different occasions or getaways.. how about getting all your girlies together to make the perfect pampering session bag! I know my sisters and I would love that.

You could also consider a holiday emergency bag, or an office beauty essentials.. ( I know I have one!). So go for it and I’m sure you’ll have great fun making these..

What do you think of a beauty emergency kit? I’d love to know.. Let me know your thoughts πŸ’

Until next time,
