Clarins Body Treatment “Relax” Oil – Spa Treatment 🔆

Hey everyone!

These days, you can’t seem to pass through an isle of beauty products without seeing labels advertising the various benefits of natural oils especially in the beauty sector.

Though the use of natural oils is not new, it is only recently that natural oils have been gaining a lot of worldwide recognition.

The first thing that comes to my mind are the Ancient Egyptians who would anoint their bodies with perfumed oils. Natural oils have been long used for beauty enhancing, medicinal, healing, spiritual, through to its aromatic and therapeutic value.

With over 60 years of spa experience, Clarins treatments are totally unique in the way they specialise skillful massage with the purest plant extracts and aromatic essential oils – with a Clarins touch!

Clarins is all about combining the best natural ingredients together with incredibly effective products to give that “spa like experience” at the comfort of your homes.

I have been using natural oils for the longest time, whether it’s for my skin, hair or body. I am a huge fan. It’s no secret how essential/herbal oils have enhanced life for thousand of years and how effective they are in treating many health and beauty problems.

I was introduced to this treatment oil years ago when I was working part time at my local Boots store. It was a little on the expensive side (£30+), but as I was interested in oil therapy, I really wanted to test it out. Also, thank goodness for my staff benefit card! Where would we be without it! 🙌

“Smelling good and feeling better”

So, a little excerpt about this treatment oil from the Clarins website;

Clarins’ best selling firming body oil—with 100% pure and powerful plant extracts including Rosemary, Geranium and Mint making a healthy formula—helps firm, tone and improve elasticity, smoothing the appearance of stretch marks. Hazelnut Oil locks in moisture to leave body skin soft, satinysmooth and elastic. Skin is prepared to face the strains of weight changes and stretching. The Tonic Body Treatment Oil is effective in removing stretch marks. Aromatic natural botanicals promote an overall feeling of well-being. A blend of natural agents in one body oil, to indulge in. Spending some to really relax and massage your skin with Clarins body care, can help to refresh and revitalize. Especially recommended for use during pregnancy and dieting. Suitable for all skin types.

The main ingredient of this miracle bottle is the Hazelnut Oil.

“The hazelnut is a small tree that grows in woods and hedgerows, very common in European forests. Its fruit, the hazelnut, is a smooth, egg-shaped nut, held at the base in a green sheath with deeply cut-out edges. An edible oil is extracted from the hazelnut. Employed in cooking, it is also much used in soaps, masks and massage oils for its capacity to prevent dehydration”.

I really like the round glass bottle design. It looks super chic!

The heavenly aroma of the oil hits your senses as soon as you open the bottle. The infused oils combined with their therapeutic properties is quite literally a ‘miracle in a bottle’.

It really sets you in the mood for a soothing relaxing atmosphere… a spa feeling right at home!

It’s particularly beneficial for stretch marks, uneven skin tone, tired and dull skin. I have most recently been using it on the heels of my feet and my skin has loved it!

The skin literally soaks up the oil and for me, it most definitely is a desert item. Perfect for winter dry skin!

I’ve been using this oil every night for a week now, my skin feels really soft and moisturised. Did I also mention, summer glowy! 🔆

Tip: I have added a few drops of this oil into my body lotion. This is particularly useful for those of you who don’t like to have oil slathered onto their bare skin and therefor can still take advantage of the benefits of the oils without having “greasy” skin.

I will have to say a little goes a long way!

Ooh did I mention it smells heavenly!

P.s My only concern is the opening of the bottle, it causes quite a bit of spillage and wish it had come with some kind of a stopper.

Let me know what oils you like and which you would recommend?

Until next time,

Sheema x
