I’m very excited to bring this post to you.
Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick is the ideal product for this season. If you want a fresh dewy glow, then this product is just for you. I’ve been using it for a good few months now and not only is it a great bronzer, it’s super affordable too. It’s been my go-to for festivals lately and it’s just such an easy and a versatile product to use.
Seventeen has no doubt upped their game, this brand has emerged as one of the popular brands in the recent times. They have fabulous products in their range (especially their dupes which are highly popular… *wink* *wink*) and their price quotient is most certainly on point.
So firstly here’s an excerpt of what the brand says about it..
Its time to shimmer with the SEVENTEEN Shimmer bricks.
Four layers of bronzed colours work together to give you the ultimate glow appeal. Dust on a mix of the colours with the SEVENTEEN Shimmer brush, then use individual shades to contour and highlight. Mix it up with the beautiful pink bronze, or deep golden bronze. Which is your shade of bronze?
SEVENTEEN make up artist Vanesa gives her top tip:
Apply these individual shades as an eyeshadow or blend together to add an exotic shimmer to your cheeks and face.
As you will have guessed by now, it comes in two different shades, pink bronze and deep golden bronze.
The one that I will be talking about is the latter shade, the deep golden bronze. It is a great dupe for the Bobby Brown brick palette except it’s at a fraction of the price at £4.99 (thereby making it a great budget alternative). It really can’t get any better than that!
Each brick contains of four shimmery strips that start from light to dark thus complementing every skin tone. It’s practically a one fits all in this case (pretty much like the Benefit Hoola Bronzer).
Take a detailed look at the colours below:
As you can see, the colours vary from light golden browns to champagne and are evidently geared more towards the warm tone shades. It’s perfect if you want to create a subtle glow or if you already have a tan. In fact, it compliments a tan even more.
I must say, the pictures don’t do any justice. The camera doesn’t capture the true shimmer and essence of this product.
It may help a little when you see the swatches below on my arm but I would highly recommend popping into your local Boots or Superdrugs and really checking it out.
Here’s what the swatches look like below,
As you move, the light catches the shimmer and creates a beautiful illusion. It really needs to be seen in person.
What really is fantastic is that it’s a multi purpose quad. You can use it as a bronzer, highlighter (as is my case with the very light shades) or an eyeshadow. The list is endless.
Top tip: If you do decide to use it as an eyeshadow, I would highly recommend using a damp eyeshadow brush to sweep the colour across your eyelids and the result is a highly pigmented shimmery shade on your eyes. Perfect for a Greek goddess!
The beauty of this quad is that all the colours complement each other very well. This is always ideal for those who love their smokey eye.
Packaging: The packaging is simple and chic. It’s a small little compact so won’t take up much space in the makeup bag. Perfect for travelling.
Product: I love all the four colours in the quad, though if you have pale skin , you might want to gradually build up the colour than sweeping it all on at once. I find this is to be useful especially when working with the darker shades.
However, it’s a perfect combination for a smokey eye to an intense deep pigment of colour when using with a damp brush so you really can’t go wrong with it.
I am highly impressed with the quality despite the low price. The shades are gorgeous!
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is pretty good for the price. It spreads evenly and the colours are amazing even without using the primer. However, once the primer is on, you get that deep intense colour which is gorgeous!
I believe this bronze quad is perfect for medium to dark skin tones and the pink quad will suit the light to medium skin colours more. Having said that, I personally love using the colours from this quad on my eyes to give me that sultry smokey eye look.
Price: Gosh, at £4.99 it’s a bargain I say!
I’d give it 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Until next time,
